Raymonde
Raymonde’s experience with yoga began at the Sivanada Ashram in the early 70’s.
Swami Vishnu Devananda, Sivananda’s leader, modeled a yoga-way of perseverance and spirit.
Today, Sivananda and a rich array of teachers and trainings have inspired Raymonde’s
creative yoga-style. Raymonde blends classic with contemporary yoga.
Raymonde’s classes offer joy, laughter, breathing exercises, simple & challenging
poses, and quiet relaxation. Students have remarked:
“My sleep is sound after yoga.” “Yoga breathing helps me to focus.” “My neck pains disappear.”
“It helps me to relax.” and “I am happy to wake up each morn.”
Raymonde’s gentle-yoga classes include Prenatal/Postpartum, Laughter, and Seniors.
Along with her students, Raymonde continues to pursue yoga’s lifelong journey of
self-compassion and abundant joy. “Yoga is about honoring the self”, Raymonde explains.
Even as an elementary school teacher, Raymonde brought the wonder of yoga to the classroom.
Raymonde loves knitting, reading, playing the Native-American flute, and meditating alongside her dog and cat.
Raymonde aspires to the Dalai Lama’s model for peace and loving-kindness.
